French documents from the collection of Atcheson Hench [manuscript] 1679-1780.

The collection contains an official copy, 1780, of a marriage contract, 1679 May 1, between Claude De la Fond, and Rose Françoise de Mougenot. The collection also contains a commission, 1744 March 1, to Captain de Mitry, in the Lorraine Guards, signed by King Louis XV. The collection also contains a manuscript volume, early 18th century, lettered on spine: "Recueil historique"; containing brief descriptions of France, the social and political systems, and a lengthy section, "Abregé de l'histoire de France"; said to be by Charles Couthier.
